Japan is well-known for their amazing sports cars and cars in general. Their sports cars are almost always a hit worldwide, especially in the United States. In fact, before the popular SUVs such as the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado came to the US, Japan was exporting large amounts of sports cars. Three pretty well-known and well-liked Japanese sports cars include the Toyota Supra, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, and the Nissan Skyline GT-R.
The world-famous Toyota Supra is almost definitely at the top of everyone’s list for Japanese sports cars they’d like to own. The car has great power and quite possibly the best engine Japan has ever manufactured. Stock, the car has a 3.0 inline 6 Twin Turbo engine that puts out a baseline of 320HP. However, with some modifications that can be raised to 500HP. There are even some privately owned Supra’s that have been reported to have reached a maximum of 1500HP, which is incredible. These Japanese vehicles are great stock and even better with the modifications that are available.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution is another great Japanese sports car. Stock, it puts out 280HP. Like the Supra, the Evolution is also fully customizable and with the right customizations it has the ability to put out much more than 280HP. Stock, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution can go from 0 to 60 in less than 5 seconds, which is quite impressive. The Evolution is a great high-performance turbo car to own.
The Nissan Skyline is a dream car for most, but is a wonderfully manufactured Japanese sports car. The Skyline is a high-powered all wheel drive car. The Nissan Skyline comes equipped with a twin turbo inline 6 engine. Many question if the Skyline is a better choice over the Supra because of the technological advances. However, this is a very debatable topic and is held at each person’s personal discretion.
Japan has so many great sports cars that they have manufactured over the years. Each year they keep getting better and better. Who knows what they will come out with next. Regardless, it is well-known that the Japanese are on top with their sports car manufacturing.
